I've had to repaint the rooms with oil based paint to help kill the smell.Overall the house is in good condition, but lots of detailed worked needed.Thanks again everyone for your input on this.

Avoid any over the top snake oil pitches and there are more than a few.

Opec will raise oil prices, interest rates are creeping up, stuff will happen, just saying.Knowing that things will change and how they will change is great to know also so that you can make the moves when things happen.

Hi all,Recently purchased a multi and one of the first projects I’m planning is converting the property from oil to nat gas heating (there is nat gas going to the house already for water heaters).

I would upgrade a slummy looking kitchen or bath with builder grade materials or do tweaks to something old looking but in good condition (refinish a pink cast iron tub, use oil based paint to cover dated bath tile in good condition, paint good condition cabinets white and add new counters)

Most posters say to use oil based Kilz, but are you also using some sort of enzyme odor remover prior to this?

We installed a water well, fencing, a compacted house pad, and built an $80k barn/workshop.Before we could start the house, I got laid off (oil & gas) and we converted about 1,000sf of the barn to living space.
