I could probably continue to source leads by increasing my web presence and some local advertising, someone more local to the area would have a clear advantage, I believe.

Seems like Google doesn't partner with AirBnB like they do VRBO, booking.com, and others so that means my property won't show up as a vacation rental with the "check availability" booking link on google maps or google web search. 

Perhaps unprecedented back to back hurricanes will mean that all bets are off and the demand metrics will change moving forward...

@Shane Petersen from my experience, your best bet is to find and insurance broker that sells SafeCo.

I was hesitant about joining the group because I've never had good luck with forums and web groups.  

I think that overall, multi-unit buildings will be your best bet if you don't want to risk getting in trouble with condo associations. 

Thats just not an option.....Care to put some $ on that bet?
