If you're serious about investing in multi-family in Detroit, I would suggest spending a few hundreds dollars to fly out for a weekend and tour the different neighborhoods.As @Chris Silva stated, Detroit was built to house 2+ million people.

That being said, they're also the easiest way to make a tenant feel "meh" as they tour your place.Me personally?

The possibility of each tenant having their own bathroom and the potential for increased rent revenue was particularly appealing.Upon visiting the property for a tour, I was supprised to see the house not only featured the advertised 4 bedrooms and baths but also included an additional full bedroom and bathroom, absent from the online photos.

I toured one on the easy side of Houston today.

If I were a typical guru, I'd give you the tour for free, and on the tour, offer to sell you the bathroom for just $99.

Tomorrow, maybe tour of newly built Hoover Dam and Donnie and Marie show at night.

While an architectural tour of a neighborhood may be a fun thing to do on a sunny Saturday...know that looks can be deceiving!
