There's several places on wood trim, wood frame, doors, windows, with holes and termites visable.

I think a  tan color  white or darker trim and very  dark window screens  custom  build them  where their is window units

Also, homes built in the early 2000s up until recent years, would have natural earth-tone like appeal from the inside, with brown wood trim, cabinets and such.

Set them a couple inches below ceiling and then have a skilled carpenter come in and place crown and trim—can turn out really nice, especially with nice countertops and under-mount lighting.

When you demo sheetrock, do you try to save baseboard, window and door trim, or do you just replace.

I'm up early today to finish sanding the frames, sand the cabinet base, set up the blue tape, and paint the first coat on the trim and cabinet base, and do the second coat on the cabinet doors :) Once the trim and cabinets are dry I'm going to do the second coat, It's gonna look so different when it's done!

I would try to recess it slightly into the wall so it rests flat on the floor and leaves no gap where it meets the wall.If that's not an option you may have to trim the bottom or side edges so they match whatever angle you actually have.
