Looking for some other ideas about where to put money to place short term ($1,000 for one year, the other $1,000 for 2 yrs), basically this is money on top of my emergency fund that I'm saving for big ticket costs for either car/house.

The expense ratio given by the seller was grossly underestimated as some of the above posters suspected...the expense ratio for the 5 years hovered around 60% including the large ticket items below...good prediction Joel and Jeff!

If I had gotten a ticket in TX for driving w/o a license, I would just have to show a valid license in court and it would be dismissed with minor court fees (20 bucks or so) 2 also doesn't make sense to me.
