There is no shortage of people wanting to move into the town.My sister and her husband bought a hose, and my wife and I currently rent a apartment so it's just my mom in the house. 

With 70,000 stationed servicemen, we have no shortage of military in search of rentals, or VA foreclosures for a BRRRR.

Also many locals do not take kindly to illegal Airbnbers because it directly contributes to the housing shortage and jacking up housing costs for people who live and work here.

There is no shortage of people looking for rentals in my area, so I'm not worried about it sitting vacant for long if someone left. 

Also, I do run into labor shortages from time to time, and I sub out electrical contracting work to other electrical contractors (they get paid by check out of corporate account).

Now I am evicing her for the rent shortage.

I think anyone who was in the hilltop in the 80's and 90's still holds a stigma about it, but my husband and I bought our first duplex there in 2011 and we have never had a shortage of quality renters.  

There's no shortage of buyers that'd want a discounted house and some will also be all cash.

We had 8 families show up looking to rent our house as there is such a shortage of rentals there. 2 families offered to pay more rent than we were asking. 

Unlikely the bank will agree to a short sale if you're capable of paying the shortage or have income to pay the current payment.
