You are taking away the wonders of compounding interest if you take out the loan, blah, blah, blah.For me, even though I took a loan from my 401K, I never stopped making contributions.

(The interest due each month has just been getting tacked onto his mortgage balance, apparently & likely for the last six years or so, and then compounding per the math you know and love for compounding ROI on investments in exactly the same way... except this is a debt, not a retirement vehicle!)
