Buy smart, be careful not to blindly overpay.

I'm concerned we're ignorant on this point... or the assumptions are so far off due to some fundamental difference between markets or business models I'm blind to.

There are lots of ways to do the property research yourself so you don't go in blind.

In another, where I already have replaced old kitchen appliances with new stainless-steel ones, I might replace the old sliding patio door with a nice french door with blinds in the glass -- as the beginning of an eventual kitchen remodeling -- and maybe replace old bathroom lights, faucets and towel racks.

Then why are you BLINDLY still doing that crap?

Otherwise you fall into a trap of moving ahead with lots of blind spots.

I have seen this done in certain situations and it worked out.Some tradesman are looking to invest in real estate and will swap cheap materials and labor for an ownership interest.We are all looking at it blind with no pics here.
