5 March 2018 | 7 replies
The floor will have rustic look, so some wear and tear in the kitchen over time won't look terrible.I'm just wondering if people have experience with wood getting easily wrecked and needing to repair in the kitchen?

Alysa Phalen What are the responsibilities of a Property Manager in hurricane?
13 September 2017 | 7 replies
@Alysa Phalen , while it sounds like you had minimal damage, you could not have known that last Thursday.I'm in CO too, and I heard that Irma could be an issue while Harvey was still wrecking Houston.Since your property is not damaged, I would give the PM time to get their other properties in order, but I'd schedule a meeting with them in person to get a storm preparedness plan in place.

You've listed many roadblocks. If I were you, I'd: #1 use a portion to fund my emergency fund (if I didn't have one); #2 payoff as much of my high interest, non income producing debt as I could since the cost of that debt wrecks havoc on current income.
Shannon K. Negative Equity... Creative Options here?
11 December 2016 | 20 replies
In the meanwhile I'll start gathering "fixer upper" comps to justify my offer price to the lender.I guess I wasn't thinking about this one as a "distressed sale" because its charming as ever and in much better shape than the wrecked junk foreclosure properties I've been seeing in Buffalo here which normally have 9 foot cracks in the foundations, 8 missing windows, and 3" of standing water in the basements, hahaha. This is a charming historic home with tons of appeal which is why I was initially questioning submitting a low-ball short sale offer on such a pretty property.
Brandon Clark Any thoughts on the new (6-30-16) FHA student loan rule
31 October 2016 | 6 replies
People that dodge paying back their student loans do indeed get kicked right in the DTI where the sun don't shine.I hate to be the wet blanket, but if you can't afford to pay back your student loans and keep them in deferment or forbearance for as long as possible because it would wreck your monthly household budget to make amortized payments, are you really ready to take on another half million dollars in debt!?
