(Builder grade, hospitality grade, etc...)To help avoid disappointments like this, it's best to know what you want and spec what you want upfront, such as Moen Faucet p/n xxxx, American Standard water closet p/n xxxxx set on a bed of mortar with a new wax seal and a new water supply valve kit and escutcheon, etc...

Personally, I would never use any kind of glue down any more unless you are talking about the type of industrial/commercial tile that's glued down and used in office buildings - with regular waxing it will literally last forever.

If the unit is well-sealed(you can check for drafts by walking around with a candle and seeing if/when the flame blows(super-cheap way,) or get an energy inspection(more $$)) and insulated(double-pane windows at least, proper wall insulation- and maybe ceiling too?

I know I was frazzled the day they came in with their sales pitch, but point was they were professional - we verbally discussed "staging apps for online photos" and "candles, scents" for showings.Come to find out; all that is for listings that are for sale, not rent.
