Many cities/townships/etc. have lot coverage or impervious area (house+paved+sidewalk) ratios that might limit how much you can add, if any.Good Luck!

I am actually talking about land that is just being developed - streets, curb, gutters, sidewalks, underground, etc. all just starting to go in.Remember, when you discuss areas that are good, you need to be sure you are not in areas that have already topped out.

When it comes to the footprint, check with zoning on Setbacks, required landscaping and parking, need for Storm retention ponds, fire hydrants, sidewalks, water/sewer/gas easements, etc.
