This gives me biggest pause because the offer is not binding and the trustee can accept offers up to the court date (which could be a few weeks later).

I called the guy and told him this and he immediately asked for earnest money..kind of ("Well If you're serious I'll think about getting this stuff cleared up *long pause*) I told him I'm not putting down earnest money unless he gets a clean deed at least.

I think that all that these recent results have done is to give some of those who were "all aboard" the Obama train, with tickets firmly in hand, pause to reflect and ask the conductor when the next stop is "just in case" they need to get off.
