I was wanting to lock them into longer term leases of at least a year, but was wondering if that is currently a good idea now due to the virus situation depending if one of the tenants comes into financial hardship etc. 

I have an out of state tenant in Nebraska that has lost her job due to her catching the corona virus.  

No reason to have people traipsing thru the property and possibly exposing yourself and the current tenant to people possibly infected with the virus.

My assumption is that people are operating under the premise that by the time they finish renovations the virus may be winding down and if they can time it right, they could hit the market on the upswing.

I thought they found the virus can only live on surfaces for a few days to a week at most.
