A more accurate way to describe it is "I received no income" - because you can have deals but still have no profit if your expenses are greater than your income.If you were actively looking for deals (and can document it) - as opposed to merely planning to start later - then you file Schedule C and claim business expanses such as marketing, driving, technology and so on. 

Extending and expanding these credits could be a huge step toward addressing the affordability crisis by boosting supply in struggling areas.It’ll be interesting to see how Scott Turner builds on his past work with Opportunity Zones to drive progress.

This isn’t 1979 where you’re restricted to properties “within a2 hour driving distance”.

As far as investing out of state goes, I would pick something you can drive to in 4 hrs or less.

A fourplex means four times the appliances, plumbing, HVAC, water heater, and other repairs, driving up maintenance expenses compared to a single family.In Las Vegas, multi-family properties attract transient tenants, like singles or couples without children, who typically stay 1 to 2 years.
