@Brittany L GrammI own a few short term rentals myself in Tampa and think Tampa is a great market because of the different types of tourism.

In my opinion, these numbers show the overall impact of the pandemic on tourism in this area was significantly positive (2019 vs. 2022).

I attempted to find numbers on tourism and travel, only able to find a vague article suggesting it was increasing.

I'm in Pacific Beach where tourism is huge. 

Randy  I dont think most folks realize the points our making  I have had 3 attempted suicides in homes i bought at auction or pre auction one successful and that was a vietnam vet who I let live there rent free for almost a year I would talk to him twice a month asking him to please move on we cant let this go on.. finally we had no choice but to do a FED and he still would not more when the cops came to escort him out.. ( and my secretary was there ) they opened the door took a look at what was on the kitchen table told my staff person to go get in her car.. found in him the back yard suicide by gun.. there is a very grimy side to foreclosure bizz.. but I 1000% agree with you.. that the homeowner if its an owner occ deal is going to be extemely emotional irrational violent etc etc. this business is not really a beginner business..

I'm working with a big container manufactures in Vietnam and they have been customizing and building container home for awhile now with sub 10k price tag normally (pricing depends on the size, interior design and other requirements, of course)Currently i'm living in Seattle and have been looking around for any partnership opportunities to start out our container home projects in the US. 

There's several thousand cabins where i am, in a vacation-rental-only/tourism part of the world.

So if there is a worldwide or local downturn in tourism, they'll have to pay huge sums of money to the buyers, which they might not have.

@Hashim Jakvani There are a number of factors fueling the REI market here: Increased industry(tech and medical), tourism development, and property values.We have a strong working class population that has put housing in high demand.
