I'm not a religious scholar, anything I say can and should be taken up with your/his preferred scholar of their faith, as well as with God directly, to validate that it will not send them directly to hell.

As far as loss of value, when I sold property in CA that had hospice deaths of elderly people who choose to die at home the realtor said that any Asian purchasers, due to religious beliefs, would not be interested in buying the house.
