California's SB 721, known as the Balcony Inspection Law, requires multifamily property owners to inspect exterior elevated elements (EEEs) like balconies and decks.

Would appreciate any other good options, especially those with focus on California markets. 

I work closely with one here in CA where I found him working on my investment property's neighbor's house.

SB 9 sounds like a real game-changer for California investors.

I am 23 and live in Orange County down in southern California.

@Kyle Atans  or PHX when building stopped dead cold and they deported half the construction workers who happened to be 80% of the tenant base.. same with central CA building stopped  no deportation though :)I just bought in Vegas for semi retirement and tax purposes I kind of like were it sits now.. but no question your timing of that market was impeccable.. !!! 

For example, section 8 in California is not going to be the same as doing it in Ohio.

Most value adds involve work   Some require specialized knowledge.Here is a list of why adding ADUs in my CA market is typically a poor RE investment:1) The value added by the ADU addition is often significantly less than the cost of adding the ADU.

Only difference is that California I have 1.5% or $1500 min vs every state as Joe mentioned is the same.
