this has been discussed a few times on here...i do lower to median income rentals...for those i remove ceiling fans, dishwashers, carpets, cheap floors..i paint h/w floors brown and/or install commercial VCT tiles..they are durable and you can buff them between tenants..i paint all ceilings, walls, and trim teh same color...again, this is for lower to median income apartments...

Cover with drywall and use corner trim to cover the edges then have a cabinet magnet on inside  that holds the door shut in the middle. make sure to leave the trim on the corner where the door opens loose on one side and permanent on the other.Have a bad spot where a pan burnt a counter top????
