I don't think it matters to buyers much as long as you are responsive and productive for them and that the technology of your office helps them get their offers in quickly and efficiently.

That said, you can outsource all the work, just gotta spend a lotta time up front setting up all your processes & technologies & hiring good people

Some people will tell you technology will allow you to run the STR from anywhere; while this may be true it still takes a considerable amount of time.

Government regulations, for the most part, inhibit innovation and the advancement of technology and growth of economy rather than cause it. 

Technology has enabled communication with a remote CPA through phone calls, emails, skype etc.

What CAN make it overwhelming is trying to add a bunch of technology on top of learning HOW to self-manage. 

I know this question gets asked often, but I feel like technology is ever-changing and worth asking again every couple of years!
