So many many times that we needed pieces we had a few granite contractors that had bone yards that they were dying to get rid of these beautiful slabs that's were too small to do and entire kitchen and were just sadly sitting there looking for a home.

I rented bare bones apartments that literally had no balconies, no dishwashers, no internet included,  no laundry onsite (laundromat across the street), and we didn't even have enough off-street parking to assign spaces.  

They were con artists down to their bones and had even falsified documentation I had required for their background check. 

My building needed a certain type of tenant in order to fit in and be quiet and be happy, yet be willing to pay just under market for a funky bare bones little apartment.  

And by that, I'd say we ran about $75 under market, but our apts were tiny and bare bones. 

That's a pricey repair, and your tenant probably isn't going to love hearing that - so if you are generally happy with your tenant you tread lightly on this one otherwise they could turn from good tenants to bad very quickly.  700 bones is a lot of $$.I've seen complete AC systems last a lot longer than I could have ever imagined, but seldom do they go without some kind of maintenance or a recharge every couple years.  

I rented out small, bare-bones apartments that were in a great location, but in an old, though well-maintained building, and rented them just below market rate (by about $100). 

The owner I worked for bought Kelly-Moore "bone" paint by the truckload. 

A closer look at the floor:Yes, those are chicken bones that were in the mess under the stove/fridge.
