Regulations are a bit gray and ever-changing around texting right now because it's still new (and those overseas fly-by-night orgs haven't missued the technology yet), however most companies now agree that peer-to-peer does not require consent since the platform is "manual" and not an ATDS.

They will still exist, but in a much lower quantity where they have to surcharge their transactions perhaps, and technology platforms will take over (like Travelocity, and Expedia did in the travel space).  

@Thomas Burnett I am still perplexed in this day and age of technology and internet people are still driving for dollars.

Also, I try to figure out if PMs are open to using technology - its a good indicator of how willing they are to adjust/learn about trends in the market. 

A lot of things can go wrong with technology, to include user error.
