A properly operating AC should not freeze up just because the unit can't reach the set temperature.

It takes more energy to go back to the desired temperature that way.  

On hotter days I tend to keep the fan running on my unit to keep the air circulating which keeps the temperature more even throughout the house.

I am about to open escrow on a commercial property (warehouse and offices located in southern California) in which the current tenant is keeping a pit bull dog. 

Thinking about building some Flex Warehouse space.  

Couple thoughts:1) Rent a spot in warehouse-type building with bay doors and "store" your RV in it along with your tools etc. most of them have a bathroom and it's easy to plumb in a shower or connect your RV plumbing to it.

It never occurred to me that I would have to pay for the replacement, but the tenants are now asking if I could pay, because it might have been caused by, according to them, an act of god (temperature).

I bet there are lots of warehouse owners who are letting rents slide around the Long Beach area right now due to the impacts of COVID-19 and the trade wars.

Make sure he/she checks the following:1 - Furnace makes a "coughing noise"2 - Temperature in the house seems to be "feverishly" higher than it should be3 - The furnace fan doesn't seem to be moving/replacing the inside air as well as it should so the house doesn't seem to be "breathing" like it should. 

Temperatures this past winter caused the pipes to burst resulting to water bill around $1,500.
