The fed is just increasing rates to pre-pandemic rates for now, 2019 was a solid year compared to 2018.we didn't have hyperinflation in the 2000s. peak inflation prior to the Great Recession was 4% floating between 2.5% and the high 3s averaging low 3s before 2007. the Fed target for economic growth of 2%.

Glued down is preferred, then they are easy to replace as opposed to the floating type of vinyl planks where repairs are difficult even for professionals.
