If I don't want the stress of RE I'm just going to buy index funds/stocks/bonds - much easier to liquidate than getting back my money in a syndication that's not doing well.

I know it is expected that you will need to spend some money after someone moves out but I just didn't expect I was going to need to spend appx. $10k to get it rental-ready.

One year after I used that property to pull a HELOC and this year used that money to purchase an off market 4 family property in Clinton for well under market value, which I just recently finished all of the repairs and upgrades on.
