We are looking to do more in the future with them as I am very bullish on multi-family investments. 

It is a number that virtually anyone would find to be reasonable (I believe it is 6 small holes per wall). 

As a result, mid term rentals can do exceptional here and there are quality multi family units in the $250k/door range.

Buy a multi and use the rent to subsidize your housing payment.

It is virtually daily that i see purchases or considered purchases that appear to have no path to success.  

The short answer is yes to MTR in multis, being respectful of the other tenants and the allotment of LTR, MTR, STR of the units.
