For background about me, I'm 20 years old and I'm a current junior studying Computer Science with specialization in AI; I've had a few internships and experience in coding AI algorithms.It seems like the value which I can provide is related to my coding abilities, and the time I have since I lack too many responsibilities as a youngster.

Until then do you think it would be a good idea to try and go get a job and work for free or “internship” with a local wholesaler or real estate investor and just try to dive in and learn as much as I can.

So in 2022, we’ll do an internship with a real estate broker in the north Dallas area.

I have held internship positions at 4 different real estate firms throughout college and am willing to contribute my knowledge and skills to your business 😊

(I am very open to / ok with improvising in this way - I spent 2 months during this pandemic living on various friends couches and working my internship remotely every day). 

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how/where I might land an internship?

On BP forums, meetups, REIAs, coffees, find your local experienced operators/NOT paid gurus and see if you can help them find deals, drive for dollars, analyze deals, line up contractors - it’s your unpaid internship to soak up as much experience as you can handle.I’d do the first 1-2-3 on your own, become an established owner & operator.

How do I find a mentor and maybe an internship?

Even before the pandemic, the career fairs at my school(Montana State) only offered internship and not a lot of jobs.
