Agricultural Depression was extremely similar to 2008 subprime crisis.3.

The housing collapse from a decade ago, people thought was the worst recession since the great depression, but completely gloss over the early 80s recession where unemployment reached higher levels, and without the kind of social safety net we had in 2008.  

Commercial real estate will get depressed and there will be buying opportunities.

While this is an unprecedented event in modern history, what lessons do we have from 2008 and previous recessions/depressions that are relevant in the next year or so?

In the event any of my tenants were let go, I would do my best to help them find jobs as even in my main market, which is somewhat depressed, I know people who are always hiring good workers.
