I hear that verification of employment salary is almost impossible from these companies and, if we as a landlord, call the company.Want to do credit check, eviction, criminal etc (as have kids on site and am only asking 1.5 month dep) and so many people are saying their reports came back clean but then they found out things after the rental went bad.Seems ridiculous that someone hasn't cornered the market with an honest reporting company with such an important requirement.Thx

Criminal history?

You should be able to do whatever you want with your properties as long as it doesn’t violate any criminal laws.

This can be a criminal offense if enough money has changed hands.

Run a background check on the added tenant to see if there are any criminal history, eviction record.

And I'd expect my credit score to reflect that in a year or so and move back into purchasing a home rather than rent.The firm I work for requires credit/criminal/security clearances.

At the limits of what this society tolerates in membership fee avoidance are agents of the IRS.But what's far more interesting for me is what keeps the bulk of the population in line. not the tiny minority of criminals or major tax cheats.

They're thinking of adding criminal penalties if people are killed when they couldn't get out in cases of some renovations. 

Ask them a couple of qualifying questions like "will you be able to pass a background check that includes criminal, credit and rental history?"

It is bad enough to reward criminal tenants but not having a eviction on their record impedes the rest of us from properly screening them in the future.
