I agree with the advice of going to college and taking something to complement my real estate passion, its just a difficult decision to make if I want to go without that knowledge and save tens of thousands of dollars or not...

Find out the best restaurant in town where they work and leave a message that you want to take the manager to lunch at that restaurant.Ask the secretary who the manager's favorite sports team or performing artist is and send a couple of box seat or front row tickets with your complements with a request for a fifteen minute meetingIf none of these things elicit a response, the person is subhuman.Markreorecovery

All that said, if you're going to get a degree regardless, in my opinion, finance/accounting will complement a corporate job in marketing and help you in real estate.

If your uses do not complement the long-range plan, getting the site rezoned to allow your uses would be a long shot at best. 

You might even decide to do sales part time to complement the vast riches you will receive as a social worker.
