Hi all, I am considering the following strategy for a house hack in Old Town Alexandria.

You could have bought a house, or several, that would have doubled in value.

Great tools out there to evaluate the density of rentals, houses sold/for sale like Zillow and Redfin can give you a great perspective on these and help guide your decisions!

My plan is to start house hacking.

As for valuation, I see no reasons why a Junior ADU would negatively impact additional housing unit.

Condo or house I am open to either, as long as it can be a reliable rental. 

My electrician insisted in rewiring my house without ripping out the existing drywall.

Also, I am assuming since you house hacked that you only did 5% down, which then increases your mortgage payments compared to 25% down buyers.
