Hi Kyle - we have two development projects currently in DC.

I can see the value in what you’re doing in the rural southeast—new construction in those areas has a lot of untapped potential, and I like how you’re handling the financing with Fannie Mae assumable loans and light debt.

$300-$400k will likely not get you even a 2-family in the best area of New Haven unless it needs a lot of work, but will get you a property in a top flight area of Hartford.

Your financial advisor isn't wrong about 401(k)s, but they might not fully appreciate real estate's benefits.

Additionally, many properties on MLS in need of rehab are in C-/D class neighborhoods which I have no interest in living/owning in (at least starting off).
