I know there are limits on how much you can deduct for each year but my guess is that you would be fine with only one rental.

I've been house hacking since 2020 in Beverly, Ma, and currently in my second duplex.

Also, I'm not sure why they approved my plans and asking for a zoning permit now :(  They are asking for architectural plan of the old structure - I'm not sure if my architect has it.

While I’d love to invest locally, most properties here are beyond my price range.Right now, I’m compiling a list of potential properties, underwriting deals, and reaching out to Realtors.
