You need to assume the interior needs everything, again do you know the costs ?  

Should I hire an interior designer to stage the home and air bnb the property that I invest in and hand it off to a property manager to mange the air bnb ?  

Currently prepping a new property in Arizona for the rental market and seeking advice on planned updates:Considering upgrading laminate countertops to quartz for durability and aesthetic appeal.Freshening up interiors with a repaint.Looking for reliable washer and dryer units suitable for rentals.

Since then we stayed focused on new construction of single family homes, eventually segueing into small multi unit buildings (3 & 4 units), while doing some interior condo renovations here and there to keep generating revenue until the new builds came to fruition.Overall, my hot take is: New Construction for the win.

We reconfigured the landscaping so the house had a private entrance and yard, and then added a kitchen and refreshed the interior, and had it permitted as a legal ADU.

Had bought a house to do a simple interior face lift, added mini splits, things of that nature.

A better plan would be buy it for 500k, fix the kitchen/baths and paint the exterior/interior and then try the refi about 8 months later.

Also, stage the interior so it looks cozy and inviting.

Exterior/Interior Paint, fixtures, etc.These buildings were constructed in the 1960s with steel pipes and much of the plumbing has been replaced as needed including new supply lines in the ground and new sewer pipes under the slabs.Ongoing maintenance costs have been pretty consistently high on this project, but the rise in rent over the holding time has been a saving grace.

Interior has original hardwoods floors at the end of their life.
