They would also provide the funding and renovation funds at 7%.  

Securing funding has been challenging, particularly because my business documents reflect low revenue from only one duplex, and I am currently between jobs.I have identified a reasonably priced piece of land and have saved a small portion of the funds from my duplex sale to invest in this venture.

Is your $15k even enough of an emergency fund for you personally?  

Did your borrowers mention securing your investment with a recorded mortgage or deed of trust, personal guarantees, lender’s title insurance, or anything else?

We are trying to not use our retirement funds.

I am the only person that will be able to update you in this matter.

However demand is very high, especially for section 8 which also doesn't pay very well because government funding is one of the lowest for Puerto Rico.

I currently use Wells Fargo and it’s a pain in the butt to keep going there in person and setting up a security deposit account.
