The harder I worked the luckier I got and that still holds true today.Pay someone to hand address the envelopes...If they are doing return address as well, then they should be able to do around 37-45/hour (I start by paying per/hour and tell them upfront if they slack then they can get .20-.30cents per envelope depending on their penmanship)...All of my business is off of direct mail and referrals that I've gotten from direct mail clients(everyone knows someone)...Your local high school/college students are always looking for brainless stuff like this to do...You want your piece to get shuffled to the top because your target is wondering "who's handwriting is that?"...

As a Chicago investor I am a little luckier so far, collections have been about 95% but the thing that bothers me is the ones not paying are very aware that not much can be done... so we expect that they will be living for free for a long time before anything can be done about it.
