In fact, home inspections are often used to drive down pricing...inspector exaggerates price of defects and seller is somewhat committed to buyer and is loathe to put home back on market--especially if they need to sell quickly for a variety of reasons

@Kyle GallowayI don’t think I would get any renters in my market if I did not include a fridge and oven I’m loathed to include a dishwasher but I’ve been advised in my high end market, I need those extras to attract busy tenants with families.

In general I loathe the idea of putting up cameras at a rental, but I gotta admit I'm considering installing one at a property where the tenants seem to be incapable of throwing the stupid trash in the appropriate container.

Many appraisers are loathe to materially change an appraisal as that calls into question all the other appraisals they've done...You can try 2 things:Have conversations with the lenders about the appraisals and why you think they're flawed.
