Ohio, I’d suggest also looking at Columbus as you build your network—it’s one of the strongest markets in the Midwest right now with rapid population growth, tons of job creation, and huge developments like the $26B Intel plant plus expansions from Amazon, Google, Honda, Microsoft, and more.

One thing we've done and recommend (but few owners want to pay for) is to install cameras to monitor common areas.Inevitably, a tenant or two often abuse their common area privileges by leaving trash, shoes, plants, etc. in common areas and it's nice to know who to hold accountable.Regarding building checkups, it's great if cleaning & lawn help can be trained and motivated to alert the owner/PMC on issues.
