In most of those cases, their broker took a high fee and the investor didn't end up with a great deal.Here are a couple of things that are a tipoff you are not working with a broker with your interests at heart (1) they want to pull your credit before having a conversation, or (2) they send you a long list of things you need to provide them before learning about you and your deal.The conversation should start with why you are interested in REI, then understanding your strategy to get there.

You don’t get CA level appreciation in Kansas City.Some areas are high crime so need make sure you understand the neighborhood you are investing in, like any city all locations are not equal.Very car centric city, mass transit is not widely used, people don’t walk, they drive outside of a few very walkable locations in heart of the city.

Obviously, the most important focus is on those who experienced loss of life, need rescue, and experienced total loss; again, my heart goes out to those people.From an investment standpoint, hurricanes are obviously a real, calculated risk of the area.

Going from a $232K purchase to a $575K sale is no small feat, especially with a full excavation of the foundation and reframing involved.I’ve got a buddy who tried something similar outside San Diego last year.. he had to reinforce the entire property with a new slab and rebuild the interior layout from scratch.. definitely not for the faint of heart, but his final sale price turned heads in that local market.

We are now preparing to foot costly lawyer fees ($10k+ according to our lawyer's experience with difficult cases like this), and likely won't see a cent back since we have so little information about these people and they may not have anything to lose.My heart goes out to everyone who is truly struggling due to the pandemic and are, in earnest, doing their best to be responsible tenants by communicating with their landlords and trying to work things out.
