Hi everyone, Currently working as a construction manager in Texas, always had ambitions of owning my own business.

Instead of buying existing properties and rehabbing them, the idea is to partner with a builder who constructs new rental properties, then refinance and rent them out. 

And if the 25% tariff hits canadian lumber, then everything is going to shut down.I'd like to know when this country is going to actually do something to help new construction.

My partner and I have a General Construction company (CSL).

They've been advertising their new construction inventory on my Investment Properties For Sale Show since Q4 2024.

I have found working with these investors that if they focus on New Construction Investing they are able to not only keep their costs down but the properties appreciate better because the comps are new. 

We did have one contractor re-pave our driveway but other than that, we haven't had any actual construction work done on the house, so I haven't used any contractors.
