I realise that you have California and Florida that matches Spain's climate, but the culture naturally is different here, and that's what makes it interesting.US citizens can of course invest here the same as any European.

In the Dominican Republic we are not experts in ham or cheese but if something stands out from other countries it is our mixed indigenous, European and African cuisine, they are a rum manufacturer, Mabi de behuco Indian is a typical Dominican drink, mamajuana, banana mangu green, sancocho and other dishes.

So people are still traveling in spades, more than ever, maybe just not to the same places, making this likely a local thing.More to @Jerry Calhoun's point on international travel being the hot trend now, the Booking.com CEO was just on CNBC giving an interview and he said that in the past two years their bookings revenue in the US has very much outpaced European bookings (which have lagged coming out of covid), but is seeing much larger growth in Europe bookings this year.

Otherwise you always have the unknown of big changes  My purchasing criteria is to buy in the area with the strictest housing and STR regulation and a few miles from the Hilton resort.I guess 50% of my Airbnb book is from US traveller, the rest are European and Japanese travelers.

One thing I missed is RETA does get you some pretty good payment plans if you live in North America.Those payment plans are not available to Europeans from what I can remember.
