The transfer was executed through a notarized grant deed and legal description.My quick review of the California real property law regarding the supplemental assessment is that a "change of ownership" should not trigger a reassessment if the transfer only changes the method of holding the title.I will contact my local Assessor's office to obtain more details and see if I can straighten this out.

I am located in Wisconsin so a notarized Promissory Note is legal.

The reality is if you had not paid per the degree, you ex could possibly have a claim against the property that would be superior to the loan you seekingAdditionally, the underwriter does not know you and does not want to risk a flag if the file was auditedLike it or not, a notarized document from your ex solves the problem. 

Is there a way to do it without visiting Michigan since I see on the website there is a notarization requirement. 

Send a notarized invoice along with a letter from your attorney, he may draft one up for you for few bucks. this way they know you have already started the process and are not fooling around. send it certified mail

They authorize a regional director or employee to enter into contracts for them, if you want to make it more formal you could provide him a notarized affidavit giving him the authority to sign leases on behalf of the LLC 

The Sewer District requires a notarized letter to move the bill into a tenants name, I have basically been forced into including it in rent (and eating the 5-10% increases every year).  

These folks get persnickety on the minutia.You may also need a notarized copy of the Abstract of the Trust to prove your right to be the Executor and your Powers.

I have offered to have the bank print out the relevant transactions on their letterhead and provide a notarized statement from me that I have been and will be making all payments but it seems like they just won't pick their head out of the sand.Frank Chin...that sounds ridiculous.
