They have to do it because of all of the different govt entities that fund these and their goal is to be sure I'm well taken care of, as opposed to spying on me to see if I'm causing damage, so the attitude is fine - but the constant invasion is irritating.And I highly suggest you don't get chatty or mention "Oh, you have fish!  

So, I think you need to re-think your attitude regarding the tenants who want a pet but who have been bad about cleaning up after a pet in the past.How I'd handle them is - Nope, no new dog.  

Yes, I wish our tenant could have that attitude!

There is a rough backstory  -- tenant has been a PITA since day ONE and her attitude and behavior are continuing to escalate.  

She says "Wait outside, I'm getting ready to take a shower"...OK. 10 minutes later I'm fuming and call the mother and with 30 seconds the daughter opens the door and says with an attitude "Go around to the back and I'll let you in."

Let the next landlord deal with that.I really don't understand the attitude that Rachel should take a chance on a risky applicant because this girl is in love or that she had good grades in undergrad land.  

Personally, I'd rather take this tenant, with a good job and good credit and good attitude - and her big dog - than a less-appealing tenant without one.  

She's already given you attitude and disrespect.

She also naturally started talking about her distaste in debt and how she would buy on credit to collect the points and pay it off the moment she gets home.Anyway, she's willing to pay the year up front, I get a good vibe from her attitude, and she does have a small but positive brand online.So, fellow BPers, what are your thoughts?
