It's quick and easy I do even have the remedy equipment.- Use your own contractor, don't follow insurance contractor- Use public adjuster- find your own contractor to get the job done.Nobody will pay you for 3 years of loss rent.

Will the added units make the building call for fire escapes, and fire suppression equipment, or ADA upgrades, or an elevator, or upgrade the whole place to 2023 Electrical code or etc...Is there enough electrical amperage at the service entrance for the added units or will you need another drop or a transformer or something like that.Will construction noise drive other renters to not renew (???)

I also would like to do a lot of the work myself, at least demolition, framing, electric (my father is a trained electrician), insulation, wood flooring, trim, etc. and my father has most any of the equipment I would need, but financially I would like to be independent of him.What are the best ways to get started and to find funding without a lot of money on hand?

You will have already paid for the equipment/people to get to the site, so an extra few minutes can be fairly cheap versus having to call them back later down the road.
