So ultimately, wholesaling property in NYC is not impossible to do, however it is extrememly challenging and can take very long to find opportunities.Since I have no mentor in an area where competition is intense, I feel that starting out in NYC may not be a good idea.Nevertheless, I am still very driven to continue searching for opportunity and growth.

Hi Ashref...it's not difficult to find good "fix and flip" deals on the MLS, the challenge is getting them under contract because the competition for these limited listings is very intense.

(usually the bare minimum) I posted this in the rehabbing thread since this business has helped me a TON in learning how to estimate repairs, material costs, how labor intensive certain projects can be, I've built a long list of contractors and tradesmen, I've learned from the people I surround myself with, pulling permits, dealing with city inspectors, budgeting, etc.
