Everything else is just cosmetic preference, and short of having shag carpeting in the bathroom with a pink bathtub, there's not much cosmetic upgrading that is going to have the impact that the major bones of the house will.  

I think there is very little meat on this bone that I just bought but it was the cheapest thing I could afford just starting out.

I am considered renovating the bare-bones, concrete-slab, water-intruding basement into a second unit.  

@JIMMY PASCHALIS   I tend to look for properties with great bones but that are extremely outdated.
