One of my units was previously occupied by a sex offender according to the map...he had moved out before I purchased the property but apparently didn't update his address...and I didn't know about it until I had already turned that unit a couple times and one day out of sheer curiosity looked up my properties on the sex offender map.

@Bret LorensonIf your borrower signed a new promissory note for the $25K balance, and has now defaulted on that note, go to court and get a money judgment for the balance due plus accrued interest.

. - I forgot to mention that in TX, the bidder/winner is responsible for any new liens and taxes that accrued after the decision date, which in many cases seems to be at least a year or more of additional taxes, and who knows what new liens.
