The fact that this is your thought process is so absurd to me. 

Given that you have three options;Foreclose on a senior mortgagePay the lien offNegotiate a better payoff for a lien release in some manner.In the last matter, I have found some liens to include false or exaggerated claims that could not be proven, in that the lien holder may have violated law in filing or claiming the debt, that can have consequences.

Doesn't matter who told you to do it or what their advice was, if you signed docs with false statements you can't blame anybody for that.I'd say report the brokers to your state RE dept. but then you'd be reporting yourself for participating.

That is filing a false lien, look up the penalties in your state.

Besides, I've got the cash reserves to do it.IMO, tax savings on interest is a false economy.all cash

We do let people know that providing false information on their application will automatically disqualify them.
