This should give you a clue as to the desirability (demand) for the neighborhood or area.....you may find there are ample sales in adjacent neighborhoods, but lingering active listings (or cancelled/expired listings), in the Subject neighborhood.

Even the lakes around the airport have them sunbathing. 

Another reason for Chicago, if you decide to invest in another market and live in Chicago you'll most likely find a direct flight to that market from one of the airports.
