I am currently a high school math teacher who will be retiring in the next year or two. 

The problem in school is the poor way they teach basic math, Algebra, and Geometry. 

Is it feeding into the 5/5 school versus the one 2 blocks away that feeds into the 2/5 school?  

We are now considering house hacking by buying a neighbor’s house due to our kids' school proximity.Our monthly expenses for our current home are $3,000, and the estimated rental value is $2,300-$2,350.

Consider local trends, and proximity to schools, transit, hospitals, and reserves.

Seeing them "graduate" out of the halfway house to a non-halfway house rental (or even a home) is the best feeling you can have.  

I have had good luck with Millbury National Bank, they are pretty old school and if they like your deal they will most likely lend at 15% down.

My wife and I run collegiately and can potentially get schooling and living expenses (such as housing) paid for with a sports scholarship.

If you recall also those with swimming pools in Los Altos hills that were on a hillside some of them the water came out and flooded into their homes.. it was quite random.. my kids were walking home from grade school alone ( Back in those days it was OK for kids to walk a few blocks by themselves.. )  The poor folks though on Hwy 17 connector through Oakland got pretty much squished when the top deck fell down that was very sad..

My younger goes to UNT and older one (graduated) works for UNT.
