I really trusted my agent and knew several people who had invested in Reno so I took the leap after trying and failing for years to buy my own home in really high cost cities where I lived (NYC, DC, SF Bay area). 

I would not get advice on this from people here also realize a LLC in California has some really hefty fees per year so something to consider 

Unless maybe that is counting people's $1M residences. or average price of homes in Austrialis is probably 1 mil or more. at least in the big cities

@Shaylynn O'LearyI think I may have posted this in response to you in another thread a while back, but here goes again.If you pick a random "low cost" market like the ones you named, don't know anyone there, don't set up a network, buy random properties, and turn them over to people you've never met to manage, you will most likely lose money. 

There are people that develop cabins.

Some people may go higher end, but naturally it depends on the property and neighborhood.

I'm seeking advise from people who may have been down this road before on whether we should seeking other financing methods to go LLC to LLC or quit claim the lot back to our personal names to satisfy the 1031 exchange rules. 

I have seen some people well respected in the industry recommend her on several different real estate groups on Facebook.
